The Roommate Book is fun and quirky. It isn’t so much a guide to anything. It won’t help you find a roommate or get along with your current roommate better if you have a roommate you don’t like but if you have a current roommate you love or you have fond memories of former roommates then this book is for you.
It’s a romp through the experience of having and being a roommate. There are suggestions for activities, charts for help to find a compatible roommate and the Dos and Donts of proper food sharing among other things.
This is most certainly a book geared toward extroverts. If you are the kind of roommate that rarely uses the common spaces and prefers to hide out in your room then this book isn’t really for you. I am that kind of roommate. So, this book wasn’t super relatable to me.
If you have a current roommate or former roommate who has everything and likes quirky books this would be a great birthday or Christmas book. Or maybe a welcoming gift for a new roommate that you want to be your new best friend.
The Roommate Book by Becky Murphy Simpdon will be available to purchase on June 28th.
