Book Review: Sherlock Sam and the Ghostly Moans at Fort Manning by AJ Low

In the second outing of Sherlock Sam he investigates moans heard from a sally port at Fort Manning during school field trip. Sam doesn’t believe in ghosts but he is having a hard time finding a logical explanation for the ghostly moans his group heard.

Once again an excellent mystery for children and adults alike. Engaging characters and a satisfying mystery make up this book. It’s technically the second in the series but the two books could be read in a different order without it making to much difference. The only defining thing that makes one come before the other is the creation of Sam’s robot Watson but he isn’t to hard to figure out if you read this book first.

I definitely give this book (and the previous one in the series) 5 stars and highly recommend it for kids who love a good mystery.
Sherlock Sam and the Ghostly Moans at Fort Manning will be available on August 2nd wherever books are sold.
