Book Review: Zora and the Greyhounds by Mark Guilliat

Zora is an American Squirrel Hound. At least that is what her owner calls her and what she believes. She is really a mixed breed – a mutt.

When Zora meets a greyhound at the dog park and learns she can run as fast as they can she decides she want to race with the greyhounds.

Zora uses perseverance and hard work to fulfill her dream. The book teachers children to work for their goals and to not always believe people when they say that they can’t succeed.

The artwork is all grey sketches and they’re absolutely perfect for the story. They add to the tale without distracting from the words.

I enjoyed this book as an adult. I’m sure children would enjoy it even more. If you would like to buy a copy of your own you can do so right now at your favorite bookseller.

*i received this book free of charge in exchange for a fair and honest review*
